We’ve just come back from a great week in Germany, covering the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup – held in Munich.
Driving through the Brenner Pass gave us quite a surprise: an incredible snowy weather was waiting for us, right at the end of May.

As soon as we got there, we set up our workplaces and chose an hashtag(#MunWC13) for the event. Then everything was ready.

Two finals were contested everyday, and we had a live tweeting on the all of them (10). That makes roughly 5 live tweeting hours and almost 300 tweets overall – one every minute, from the first rounds to the medal ceremony and the podium.

After every match, we would run down the shooting range to get some interviewsof the winning or most interesting athletes, and then straightaway get back to our office nearby, to refine the raw material and produce some good articles (more than 2 every match).

So many emails! We did a lot to give the competition’s voice to the media, sending them our latest newsletters and press releases. Plus, those days overlapped with the launch of ISSF NEWS, the ISSF iPad magazine – and that actually gave us some additional work, in order to promote this new awesome feature we’re glad to work on.

That was a great coverage of an extraordinary international event.
We enjoyed it so much we did such an infographic – just to sum the week up with a few numbers. Here it is!
