At YAK Agency sports communication is part of the everyday work of many team members. From engagement strategies to sponsor promotion, from live reporting to photo and video content production, from social media management to press office, our international experience in this field has grown a lot.
We deal with associations and companies that work in several sport sectors everyday, and through the years we have gained specific skills in shooting sports. ISSF (the International Shooting Sport Federation) and various brands of the sector, including Fiocchi Munizioni and Beretta, are only some of the partners we have worked with to promote the values, products and stories of olympic shooting sports, our specialization for over 10 years. In virtue of this specialization, we worked for Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016, as well as for many other events in 65 countries in the world.
Waiting for Tokyo 2020, and willing to make YAK Agency’s collaborators (even those who do not deal with this daily) have a first hand experience of this discipline, we decided to plan an unusual team building day, to test our skills, challenge each other and strengthen the working group.
In particular, we personally experimented shotgun, guided by the qualified instructors of the circle Le Tre Piume in Agna (province of Padua). Equipped with headphones, shotguns and adrenaline, we challenged each other, trying to learn the most important aspects of this sport: the posture, the weapon’s port, the grasp, the physical and mental preparation and the rules to ensure total security in the range. Many, so many “zeros", with our instructors’ resignation, but we were there to learn, and every mistake makes us improve.
Preparation, precision, determination: the values of a good shooter and of a good communicator, too. On the same shooting range where some Italian champions trained, we took the challenge. It was a precious experience to strengthen harmony in the team and learn to face anxieties and difficulties, as well as a unique chance to feel closer to each other and to the protagonists of the stories we tell everyday.
