714 runners, 2 courses and 7.140,00 € collected: here are some of the numbers of the third edition of IPERrun for Children, the uncompetitive charity run that took place yesterday, September the 16th in Albignasego, organized by the Shopping Center Ipercity to support the Association Team for Children ONLUS.
The event has become a must for runners, passionates and families, and originates from the desire of Ipercity to support and promote charity, health and the community, without restricting itself to purchases and to the usual values of a Shopping Center.
For the first time the participants had the chance to choose between two paths and lengths: 8 km for the most athletic people, 4 km for those who wanted to support the cause by taking a walk. The yellow parade, started at 11:00 a.m. from the park of the shopping center Ipercity, colored the streets of the city and was led by Moreno Morello - famous for his races during the tv show “Striscia la Notizia” - who has entertained the participants before, during and after the show.
RUNNING FOR A GOOD CAUSE The funds collected through the subscriptions to this sport and solidarity event will be donated to the department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of Padua, where children with severe forms of cancer and leukemia are hospitalized. In particular, this edition will support the education of the girls and boys of the Teen Zone, the new area of the department dedicated to teen patients, recently inaugurated (click here to learn more about).
