Padova Convention Bureau is the division of the Consorzio DMO Padova (the Destination Management Organization Consortium of Padua) dedicated to conventions, in partnership with the Province, the Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of the city of Padua. Its objective is to increase the capacity of the city of Padua to attract tourist flows and to incentivate leisure-convention tourism. Our agency won the creative tender published by the Consorzio for the strategic design and development of the new web portal of Padova Convention Bureau, which was conceived to promote the affiliates of the Consortium (congress venues, transportation services, tourist agencies, hotels, etc.) and to foster the city of Padua and its province as ideal destination for the organization of conventions and conferences.
To meet the needs of the consortium, YAK Agency developed the creative idea (which then turned out to be the winning one) based on a digital strategy that was not limited to the restyling of the website, but which also focused on the total redefinition of the portal browsing. From a simple institutional portal, the website was transformed into a catalogue of online offers (in two languages, Italian and English) which could enable users to autonomously choose the best solutions for the organization of their meetings and events in the territory of Padua.
The usability of the portal was studied to present and promote the territory, offering high suggestive solutions for the time before and after the convention business experience. Each digital element is responsive and fit for mobile devices to meet the needs of the clients that often use a smartphone to view and book solutions.
In the website development stage, anticipated by a preliminary analysis of the competitors and by a study about the interests and objectives of acquired and potential customers, an internal search engine was developed. Based on the most modern data storage technologies, it enables users to find personalized solutions in a fast way.
