YAK Agency comes back from Africa where followed the action at the first Boxing Road to Tokyo Olympic qualifier that took place in Dakar (SEN), from 20 to 29 February 2020.
The competition has been held at the Dakar Arena where 198 athletes from 38 countries competed on the ring in 13 weight categories (8 men’s and 5 women’s events) to grab 33 Olympic quota places at stake.
This has been only the first out of four continental events which have the mission to qualify the best 286 boxers in the world who will compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
YAK Agency took care of comms including press operations, press office and international media relations. This in the light of the collaboration with the IOC, International Olympic Committee, which since 2019 has appointed YAK Agency to follow the communication for all the qualification events until the Olympics Tokyo 2020.
Coming up next: the qualifier in Amman, capital of Jordan. The second step will see on the ring the best boxers of the Asian and Oceanian continents.
