“A Christmas out of the ordinary” is the photography contest organized by the voluntary association La Miglior Vita Possibile with the media partnership of Nord Est Multimedia and the technical collaboration of YAK Agency.
The contest, held from December 5, 2023, to January 12, 2024, and open to photographers and hobbyists residing in the Veneto region, aimed to raise awareness and provide information about the construction of the new Regional Reference Center that will replace the current facility, which is no longer adequate to accommodate the needs of over 900 young patients in Veneto requiring Palliative Care, with a yearly growth trend of 5%. A place where children, along with their families, can experience the best possible life, regardless of its duration, until the very last moment.
The contest invited the public to take a photo of their Christmas "out of the ordinary", showcasing the unique aspects of places we are accustomed to seeing in our everyday lives, whether it's one's hometown or a vacation destination, with the aim of supporting the important project of creating the New Regional Center for Pediatric Palliative Care and Pain Therapy - Pediatric Hospice in Padua.
Among the five winning photos, the Jury decided to award the first prize to Omesani for the remarkable originality of the image which, taking literally what was requested by the Prize, uses a Christmas bauble as its main focus. The bauble, in reproducing the Venetian environment, shows its inverted profile, and the blurred lights in the background create a strongly evocative atmosphere.
The YAK Agency team enthusiastically supported the project by creating the official web platform for the contest and assisting the promoters in defining the rules, the jury, and the prizes.
