The Hospital – University of Padua chooses YAK Agency for the new communication identity

The communication agency of Giovanni Cecolin and Marco Dalla Dea was appointed to manage the new image of communication and internal road network of the Padua hospital complex.

Padua, 28.10.2022 - YAK Agency is the agency chosen by the Azienda Ospedale - Università di Padova for the creation of a new brand identity for the hospital complex of the city of Padua, recognized as a National Hospital of High Specialization and Hospital Hub of Excellence of Regional Relevance. In the collaboration born in November 2021, YAK agency first redesigned the Company's official logo, working on the creation of a new institutional brand, and then studied renewed graphic concept, totally rethinking the Company's brand identity, and then designing and producing all the institutional corporate materials (paper and digital), such as business cards, staff badges, letterheads, envelopes, press kits and gadgets. In addition, to regulate the use of the new visual and verbal elements of the brand in all its forms of communication (corporate materials, signage, advertisements, and editorial productions), a brand manual was created containing guidelines to be followed, respecting the tone of voice, values, and visual identity of the company. At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic emergency, the agency collaborated in the creation of informative material both in Italian and English, which was useful for indicating Covid-19 test centres and vaccination points, and for informing patients about the safety rules in force in the hospital.

Furthermore, in order to make the official portal (www.aopd.veneto.it)  - as well as the Company's main online communication channel - a functional and intuitive site, complete restyling of the page design was carried out (homepage, internal pages and pages for new services such as Telemedicine), coordinated with the stylistic choices of the brand’s new communication, aiming primarily at improving the user experience and facilitating the main activities of booking, payment and document retrieval that the user usually performs. The new design will soon be developed to make navigation smoother, more logical and faster.

YAK Agency then conducted a major redesign of the hospital complex map to create an effective wayfinding system for all users of the hospital. Starting from an in-depth analysis of the routine, the logistics, the amount of content and directions to be conveyed and the different types of people who visit the hospital complex every day, the agency wrote new guidelines to simplify the orientation information and designed the new signage (internal and external) of the various buildings that make up the structure, from the Maternity Clinic to the Monoblocco, and the new directional totems for the internal road system.
