A Sunday of sport and solidarity in the heart of the city of Padua thanks to the event organized by YAK Agency to give children a smile.
Padua, 13.09.2022 - A long yellow queue of over two thousand people coloured the centre of Padua on Sunday 11 September 2022 for the third edition of Smile Run, a non-competitive charity run that has been donating since 2019 all the proceeds of registration (the cost to participate was 10 euros) to some local associations in the area that deal with children, without any deduction by the organization. “Running is and does good” is the slogan of the event, attended by both young and old, families, groups of friends, supported non-profit organizations such as Team for Children ONLUS, L’Isola che c’è ONLUS e Il Sogno di Stefano ONLUS.
There were two routes available to the runners - a choice between 5 and 10 kilometres - both starting and finishing in Prato della Valle, through the streets of the centre of Padua and some of the city's iconic sites such as the Basilica of St. Anthony, the Cathedral and the Squares, the Arena Gardens and the Specola. To all participants, the organization gave a racing kit with many gadgets offered by the sponsors and the exclusive technical t-shirt branded CMP and designed by the artists of 2 BROS Creative. Maddalena Cornovaglia was the godmother of this third edition, who together with the Radio Padova DJs entertained the participants from the stage before and after the race, in a day that involved over 5,000 people in the Smile Village party set up in Prato della Valle, and that reconfirmed Padua as the capital of solidarity.
Diego Bonavina, the councillor for Sport, thanked the participants and the organizers on the stage of the Smile Village: “Sport and charity are confirmed as a winning combination for Padua, which once again has been present. Smile Run is now a guarantee for the city: for us it is thrilling to see Prato della Valle full of people who have decided to run to help local associations to give a smile to less fortunate children".
The YAK Agency team took care of every aspect of the event, from the organization to the management of the event on site, from the artistic direction to the creation of all communication materials. "Once again, the people of the Smile Run answered the call. We would like to thank all our sponsors and runners who took part in the event," said Giovanni Cecolin and Marco Dalla Dea, owners of YAK Agency, the communication agency that has been organizing the event, which in three editions has collected and donated €65,000 to local associations. - "Smile Run is our way of giving something back to the city where we work and to support some causes that we have been standing for many years”.

We will use the funds raised by Smile Run to continue helping children and adolescents undergoing treatment in Paediatric Oncohaematology and to support their families." said Chiara Girello Azzena, President of Team for Children ONLUS, a non-profit association that works with the doctors and staff of the Paediatric Oncohaematology Department at Padua Hospital.
"I am really excited to see Prato della Valle full of Paduans for this extraordinary event, which colours the streets of our city with yellow and fills with joy those who, like us, are committed every day to helping less fortunate children. We will use the funds raised to support a physiotherapist who can look after our young patients." says Stefania Bettin, President of L'Isola che c'è ONLUS, a non-profit association that supports the Padua Paediatric Hospice, taking care of children who suffer from pain and incurability.

"For almost 20 years we have been supporting children with kidney disease, helping them to have a normal life, giving logistical, educational, and psychological help to their families as well, and promoting scientific research. With what we haveraised through the Smile Run, we will finance a scholarship for a psychologist".
