YAK Agency is on the ground at the Motul Superbike World Championship Pirelli Italian Round, taking place at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Racetrack of Imola, Italy, from the 10th through the 12th of May 2019. That’s the fifth leg of this year’s Superbike World Championship, following Australia’s, Thailand’s, Spain’s and The Netherland’s steps.
Imola’s racetrack, which was inaugurated in 1950, is certainly one of the most iconic locations for motorbike aficionados and the industry. The track lays between the river Stanterno and a green park, featuring a series of challenging, adrenaline-pumping, corners. The venue is a natural amphitheater: beloved by the motorsport fans, both a blessing and a course for the pilots.
During the weekend, the Superbike champions - ahead of all the championship’s leader Bautista - will be the protagonists of a thrilling competition, with the weather forecasts adding extra pressure, as pouring rain is expected both on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The FIM Supersport World Championship, the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship, a e-motorbike competition as well as a new third Superbike sprint race are also due to be contested, this weekend.
