On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th, November the Vi-Challenge Hackathon took place in the university complex of Viale Margherita in Vicenza. It was a marathon of ideas promoted by InnovationLab Vicenza, the new hub of digital culture of the City of Vicenza. Addressed to high school or university students in the Vicenza area, the event involved 85 participants in a 36-hour non-stop challenge. The goal was to develop digital technology solutions on two hot topics: the circular economy and gender issues.
In charge since last July, YAK Agency supported the organizers of the event in the main activities of construction and promotion of the project. The aim was to implement a strategic plan for the promotion of the InnovationLab Vicenza project through the supply of specialist communication services. Logo design, definition of the visual, declination of the communication materials, realization of the graphic supports necessary for the setting up are all activities the Agency dealt with. It worked also on the production of multimedia content by creating a teaser video to collect adhesions and following the live streaming on Facebook and YouTube channels. Moreover, during the hackathon, a photographer, a video maker and a social media manager were on site to document and share live digital solutions and technological prototypes; young participants created them in response to the challenge launched by the organizers.
