The registrations for the second edition of SMILE RUN, the uncompetitive charity run conceived and organized by YAK Agency to help unlucky children, are open.
On Sunday the 13th of September 2020 the race will color the streets of Padua with yellow, the start and finish of the race set in Prato della Valle.
The communications agency, which has been working on that for months, decided to anticipate the opening of registrations with a precise objective: the proceeds of Aprils’ registrations will be donated to Croce Verde Padova to contribute to the expenses incurred in these moths of sanitary emergency.
“SMILE RUN” was created to give a smile to children in difficulty, and it will be so also this year - claim Giovanni Cecolin and Marco Dalla Dea of YAK Agency - However, in this moment we felt the need of putting our event at the disposal of those who are working day and night to let us out of the emergency. This is why we’ve chosen to anticipate the registrations’ opening and to give all the proceeds of April to Croce Verde Padova.”
In spite of the difficult moment Italy is facing, the agency has let know that the SMILE RUN project and solidarity won’t stop. The event organization is 100% active, ready to take to Prato della Valle energy and skills to make the event happen, after the great success of the first edition that went sold out with 1,640 participants and 16,600 € donated to Team for Children ONLUS and to L’isola che c’è ONLUS, the local associations that were chosen in order to finance important charity projects dedicated to children.
“This is what we will do this year, too - claim the organizers - the proceeds of the registrations of April will be entirely donated to Croce Verde at the beginning of May, to immediately contribute to the expenses the association is facing. Then we will get back to the other associations, just like we did last year”.
The donation to the association will be used to buy special disposable kits composed of personal protective equipment that must be guaranteed to each volunteer, and for all the operations that are necessary for the sanitation of ambulances at the end of each service.
“Since the 21st of February, the day when the emergency exploded, we performed over 200 services connected to CoVid-19 - claims Andrea Franco, President of Croce Verde Padua - this includes transport to the home or to the hospital of positive patients, but also emergency calls. Each single service costs more than 50 euro only considering the disposable material that is used for the health of operators and patients. The sum is quickly done!”
“None of us can know what we will do on the 13th of September, but starting from today SMILE RUN is open to all those who want to give a hand: runners, families, children, running groups - claim Cecolin and Dalla Dea - We wish that this emergency ends as soon as possible, hoping that we will meet all together in Prato della Valle to run and spend together a day of sport and solidarity!”.
CoVid-19 doesn’t and won’t stop the will to organize the popular “yellow run” in Padua.
