Marco Dalla Dea and Giovanni Cecolin’s agency conceived the Erreà photo contest to promote the official shirt of the Iceland national football team at the 2018 World Cup.

#Innerviking, the contest conceived by YAK Agency for Erreà, has just ended. From the 14th of May to the 3rd of June, several football supporters have been invited to take and share a photo to show their viking side, taking inspiration from the Iceland national football team.

The prize for the 50 best photos was the brand new shirt by Erreà that the Iceland team wore for the first time during its first match in the FIFA World Cup 2018, Saturday the 16th of June against Argentina. Erreà, technical athletic wear brand and the only Italian company at the 2018 World Cup, created three types of shirts with an amazing reference to the typical peculiarities of the country: ice, water, and lava.

Great results have been achieved during the three weeks of the contest: 9,700 subscriptions, 2,900 photos charged by users and a 4,921,195 people reach. From the concept to naming, from promotion to management, the project was completely managed by the agency aiming at supporting the promotion of the Italian brand in Iceland.

Grit, tenacity, and fun are the emotions that the photos of #Innerviking were to raise: three values that we share with the players of the Iceland national football team and their supporters and that we respect everyday working as sport communicators” - claims Marco Dalla Dea, Managing Partner & PR Director of YAK Agency - “The project reached great results, and we are satisfied that our team was able to add value to an excellent brand and to attract attention towards a unique sport event”.

Saturday the 16th of June part of the agency’s team was at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow to take photos and produce multimedia contents about the first match of Iceland against Argentina. A historic match ended 1-1, which marked the debut of the Iceland national team in a World Cup.
