Together with Fiocchi Munizioni SPA to globally communicate the values of a brand that has made history

The same precision as a shooting athlete, the same passion of olympic champions of all disciplines, and the same safety guaranteed by the armed forces: the Italian brand Fiocchi Munizioni SPA has many values in common with its final users and for this reason it has been chosen since 1876 - when the company was founded by Giulio Fiocchi - for both sport and leisure. The core business of the company with seat in Lecco, based on the production of ammunitions and on the attention paid to the technological features of machines, is constantly evolving as far as production cycles, performances and solutions are concerned, consistently with the evolving needs of a varied target, which includes hunters, sportspeople, public institutions and industries. We interviewed Marzio Maccacaro, Commercial Director of Fiocchi Munizioni SPA, to learn more about a company that has become a globally operating enterprise.

Fiocchi Munizioni: an internationally recognized leadership in the sector of small caliber ammunitions. What are the values that have characterized the brand for over 140 years?

Fiocchi Munizioni is an enterprise that has been innovated a lot through the years, but it has always maintained some of the values that it had when it was founded by Giulio Fiocchi, like family, territory, experimentation and tradition, the essential values that enabled this company to become a world leader in this sector. Fiocchi’s objective is the full satisfaction of customers, and it works to convey them the values of quality, reliability and prestige, which are part of its DNA. 

A totally Italian story, though it developed internationally; a brand that is tied to its tradition but also open to modernity: how do these different elements combine and make the company successful?

The assimilation of traditions and the long industrial history of Fiocchi allow us to look forward from a sound basis, focusing on research, on the development of products that are more and more sophisticated, and guaranteeing high-quality standards to our customers; the thorough controls that follow all the production phases of each article and the attention paid by sales departments during the whole order cycle: these are the essential features of the Fiocchi model, and these are the main reasons for our success, too.

How many athletes trust Fiocchi to face the most important olympic challenges?

Nowadays Fiocchi is the sponsor of over 80 athletes from all over the world, supporting them at international shooting events. In addition to this, it has collaborated for years with FISI (Italian Federation for Winter Sports), providing the Biathlon National Team with hundreds of thousands of qualitatively selected ammunitions.

With an eye to the future: innovation, emerging markets, new challenges.

Our innovations are more and more addressed to technical-ballistic performances, and we pay special attention to the environmental impact, searching for non-polluting alloys and materials, and trying to improve our processes, adopting new technologies and instruments. Our intention is to expand in markets such as Asia, the Middle East and North and South Africa, trying to develop our direct commercial presence by getting nearer to international markets with our structure and improving our logistic network.
